Deenia Fairy being born...

This is a custom ordered fairy.

She belongs to a special lady who takes care of many people with great strength and dignity.

Her fairy helps her through each day and so they are very close.

Fist stage, the fairy is barely born.

One of the most important features is her sweet face, so I decided
to do that before I finish the body.

With the head all done, I got to work on the hands.

Hands done... lets get back to the body... here we are working mostly on the lower half.

Feet are finished, body is more defined - On with her head!

Now that she has her wits about her, we attach the arms.
This is a good time to fine tune her posture before she gets "baked".

After the firing, the skin tone darkens slightly. She is now ready for blush... and a face.

Before we do this, lets work on the wings.
I start by cutting out perfect pieces of glittered organza.

I then sew the fabrics on to a wire frame and arrange them to make perfect
shimmering fairy wings.

Then a quick try on to see how they fit ... She likes them!

A little body paint and she begins to come really to life.

Next we give her a nice haircut and attach the wings.

We add a little sparkle to the back of the wings.

... And a beautiful Fairy is born!
